Seasonal Sommelier Wine Selection 

Notes from Nancy, our Sommelier: “The wines that I choose for the season are reminiscent of crisp cool air, heartier dishes, and comforting aromas of cinnamon, vanilla, and fruit pies.”

  • Chardonnay:  Our Chardonnay is full-bodied and creamy with medium acidity and a clean finish.  Its light aromas and flavors of lemon, fresh pear, and banana with a touch of oak will highlight salads with figs and pears.
  • Moscato di Folino: Our Moscato has fresh acidity, with aromas of white blossoms, and mandarin orange, peach, apricot, and honeysuckle on the palate. An ideal pairing for rich and slightly sweet butternut squash, spicy chili, and sweet holiday breads.
  • Sangria di Fiore-White Peach Elderflower:  Soft, fruity, and crisp with notes of lemon, apple, peach, and grapefruit.  A hint of elderflower with its citrus and grassy notes brings a slight earthiness and brightness to the sangria. Enjoy this wine on its own or paired with apple pie.
  • Cabernet Franc: Complex and versatile.  This Old-World Style wine is robust with well-rounded tannins and balancing acidity. It has notes of cherries, flint, vanilla, earthiness, and a hint of lavender.  Delicious with wild mushroom soup and roasted vegetables like Delicata Squash.
  • Lorenzo Forte: Our Super Tuscan blend is complex, medium to full-bodied, and supple.  On the palate, it has dark ripe fruit notes, earthy, smoky aromas, and a touch of vanilla. Serve this alongside hearty, comforting dishes, casseroles, and stews.
  • Rosso Dolce: Our semi-sweet red wine blend features notes of cherry, red currant, boysenberry, and fig.  It makes an excellent accompaniment to sweet potatoes and warm desserts like bread pudding.
