Petillant Natural, or Pet-Nat, is a French term translating to "naturally sparkling". This spontaneously fermented wine is bottled near the end of the primary fermentation. In bottle, natural yeast continues to ferment the remaining sugar resulting in this wine's carbonation. This ancient method of sparkling wine production produces an inherently unique wine which can result in slight variations from bottle to bottle. By design of our winemaker, each bottle will be hazy, contain some sediment, and be unique to those lucky enough to enjoy that bottle.
